THE PROBLEM
Church information can change frequently, while maintaining a professional public website traditionally requires technical knowledge or direct source-code changes. The church also needs a structured way to manage announcements, leadership information, gallery content, service times, giving information, and live-service media.
THE SOLUTION
The project provides a public church website backed by a Firebase-based content management system. Authorized administrators can manage changing church content without editing the website's source code, while the developer retains control over the site's structure, design, SEO, performance, security, and deployment. A controlled publishing workflow separates content updates from public website deployment.

DEVELOPMENT
The V1 is being developed using Astro for the public-facing website and Firebase for authentication, Firestore, Storage, and backend functionality. The architecture is designed around pre-rendered public HTML for SEO and performance, with Firebase providing the administrative content layer. The system also includes a planned YouTube synchronization workflow for eligible church live broadcasts and a controlled website publishing process through a Cloud Function.
